General Description

The Clinical Education Manager will have a wide knowledge and deep understanding of Integrum’s product portfolio, surgical procedures, customer needs and stakeholder demands. This position will work and collaborate across the global organization and with external partners to develop and deliver clinical education strategies through tactical initiatives. 

The position is intended to be a product expert of the OPRA TM Implant System and will promote the on-label use of the OPRA TM Implant System to clinical sales team, physicians and healthcare providers in a clinic, office, and OR setting. They must be able to work in a team environment and lead key activities including surgical case coverage, surgeon relationships, clinical training, distributor sales training, and surgeon product training. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintains current and deep knowledge of product portfolio and surgical techniques
  • Support/conduct surgeon training and surgical cases with a high degree of knowledge regarding surgical procedures, orthopaedic techniques and tools, of the OPRA™ Implant System.
  • On-board and educate colleagues, surgical sales partners and Health Care Professionals (HCPs) on the use and clinical benefits of the OPRA™ Implant System
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, decision-makers, and thought leaders.
  • Work along side internal and external sales collegues to assist with sales strategies aligning with company revenue goals and ensure account needs are communicated and met
  • Works along side sales and marketing colleagues to monitor the osseointegration market to maintain and assist with relevant material development, objection handling and communications to quality and development teams when necessary
  • Understands and represents the various target customer needs, including surgeons, prosthetists, rehabilitation professionals and patients 
  • Aids in the development and production of clinical education programs, tools and assets
  • Assists with planning and represents Integrum at industry meetings and company sponsored events as required
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Provides information for management including special reports and analyses as requested
  • Adheres to FDA, HIPAA and PHI Regulations. 

Aside from responsibilities listed above, Clincal Education Manager reports to and works alongside US Director of Marketing & Sales Operations. As a small organization, responsibility & tasks may fluctuate as communicated by manager based on the needs of the business. 

Requirements and Skills

  • Hybrid / Remote Role ; Up to 50% travel nationally throughout year some months may be more or less depending on company / industry meeting needs. 
  • Bachelors degree or Healthcare Provider degree required
  • Minimum 5 years surgical/OR experience required; sales or marketing experience desired
  • Experience within the Orthopaedics or dental medical device fields, including a background working with osseointegrated/bone anchored implants is highly advantageous. 
  • Proficient in communications with HCPs, and hospital supply chain personelle to navigate surgical vendor process pre and post-operatively 
  • Experience with HIPAA regulations, Medicare, and insurance carrier websites.
  • All field professionals are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role and must successfully complete hospital credentialing process.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build lasting relationships both internally and externally; ability to interact with clinical and non-clinical personnel, patients, and caregivers professionally and respectfully
  • Proven track record to assess customer needs and effectively present key concepts and recommendations to customers in formal and informal settings.
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic working environment.
