What You'll Do:
Learn the Operations. This position will include on the job training, internal classroom training, and technical school training in areas such as hydraulics, electrical, and welding. The position will also include manufacturer certified training from industry leaders such as Caterpillar.
Learn the Business. This position will rotate through temporary assignments in order to gain a holistic understanding of Vulcan Materials Company, our operations, the day-to-day duties of many departments, and the importance of collaboration.
Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
Develop Mechanic Skills. The goal of this technical program will be to develop an individual into a highly skilled heavy equipment mechanic for a career with Vulcan Materials Company. The candidate will obtain on the job experience within their assigned area.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Skills You'll Need:
Education. Must have your high school diploma or GED.
Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Hourly Range: the hourly range for this role is between $25.00 - $30.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
