Elaine Ellis Center of Health, a federally qualified healthcare center , has an opportunity for a board certified OB/GYN to join our provider medical staff either part time or full time. A successful candidate for this position will have both a DC and Maryland medical license and be able to provide OB/GYN services to our patient population including on call and after hours coverage. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Care for and treat female patients during prenatal, natal and post-natal periods.

· Adhere to approved practice standards and protocols from the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and DC/Maryland Board of Medicine.

· Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients.

· Monitor patients’ condition and progress and re-evaluate treatments as needed.

· Prescribe or administer therapy, medication and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.

· Analyze reports, examination findings and test results to diagnose medical conditions.

· Communicate with and treat patients via telehealth.

· Provide on-call and after-hours coverage.

· Record and maintain patient information accurately and timely.

· Provide education to patients and community members in the specialized field of women’s health.

· Refer patients to other providers and specialists as appropriate.

· Consult with and provide consulting services to other providers.

· Participate in provider meetings and other Center meetings as needed.

· Adhere to the Uniform Data System (UDS) productivity standards. 

· Participate in outreach and offsite programs as assigned.

· Attend and participate in teaching and general staff conferences.

· Continually update education, therapeutic techniques and methodology; apply new knowledge to your position.

· Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
