Job Description

The Scientific Research Assistant aids the principal investigator, field coordinator, and clinical research coordinator to recruit, retain, and collect data for a pediatric asthma research study. Additional responsibilities include telephone calls, administering questionnaires, conducting interviews, and assisting with a variety of other study related tasks. This position requires occasional work on Saturday.

•Strong communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to meet deadlines.

•Attention to detail.

•Ability to work well in teams.

•Dependability including the ability to independently manage time.

•Ability to speak Spanish.

•Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule and some Saturdays.

•High School Diploma or Equivalent
•1 year of relevant experience.

•Experience working on a research study or in a health clinic is preferred but not required.
•Experience with economically and socially marginalized populations.
•Competent with technology (MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint; Outlook)
